Square following character
There is a square around character on the ground, lines like 1px size, and moves with character. It is not always visible probably because of terrain, angle of camera and so on, so sometimes you see just a line, sometimes 2 and sometimes all.
I assume it is related with generating grass and other terrain details area (note on the last pic that area inside square is more sharp and detailed than outside). It is not a problem, just a rather minor annoyance on the screen. If its borders could be completely invisible, would be fine. Settings: Only change in setting is vg_fov with value 70. Kubuntu 11.10 x64 Nvidia driver: 280.13 Nvidia GTX 460 (768) 4gb ram, i5 This thread belongs to Linux support, my bad. Please move it there.

I have noticed this square as well, I think it's related to the way the Linux client handles the anisotropic filtering, although it has been months since I last used a windows client so I don't remenber if it was there. I could well be wrong though.

It's here since the new engine, 2 years ago.
> http://forum.regnumonline.com.ar/for...=51566&page=17 (4th picture) It shows the limit where shadows are less detailed. Remove shadows, you won't see it anymore. ^^

Hehe remove trails for less crash, remove shadows for this.. Seems only safe mode is really safe for playing in this game
Thanks for the tip Nel!

I would add "remove post process max level" for less uber bright textures, "remove zergs near bridge" for less low fps issues, "remove luck" for less Sotw failures.
