[Request] Old initiation zones
Hey guys,
I've been playing since the beginning of May 2010, but I recently learned that the starting zones looked different once. I asked google, and it only showed me, like, 2 pictures of the Ignis altar. I'd be interested in what specially the other realms looked like Does anybody still have some screens of those areas from the time back then? thanks

Well, I don't actually have pictures but I can tell you how things were. In Syrtis, you would start and get asked to kill a few wolves before getting to the first village (this quest is still there, but there's a quest about goblins before it). There was NO map whatsoever, and all you had available to guide yourself was a "real" map, meaning, an item map. You'd double click it to see a wonderfully sketched map of the "Marelah Islands". Worth 1 gold, I sold it to an NPC back then.
The model of the bridge between one island and the other (the wooden bridge) is still the same one from the very first stages of the game. The teleporter to the mainland (Lia Rem or sth...) stood on an amazing structure. Sometimes you'd get stuck because quests didn't work the way they should and didn't "guide" you through your first steps in the world of Regnum. Every other NPC had a dialog about the invasions, what would happen if the great wall were to be breached, and things like that. And there were no invasions back then. Well... so many great memories . I think the thing I miss the most was not having a map. It'd give you a sense of immersion in the game you can't get nowadays. I mean, getting lost was something that could actually happen! There was a teleport on the other island that'd almost take you to the warzone. I believe we all must have clicked on it by mistake, and finding the way back to safer grounds was quite an odyssey. Peace! EDIT: Searching the forums I found this image which might not be relevant but was quite hilarious, originally posted by Surak: "Shelf, barrel and jar" (Anaquel, Tonel, Vasija) were places where you were supposed to pick your first weapons from. They were not highlighted or anything, so it was quite hard finding them. Every newbie would ask where those were. So... Surak found them .
