No textures
Hello,
downloaded and installed the linux 64-bit client. I have compiled the libtxc library. Using git xf86-video-ati, mesa and libdrm. 2.6.35-rc6 with KMS. Xorg 1.9-rc5. OpenGL applications run fine. glxinfo Quote:
I am not going to use the fglrx drivers. Other OpenGL games run fine. It isn't my system. I tried high/low texture settings, I deleted all data and left it to redownload all (with the download everything option). No dice. |

For Radeon 2000HD, fglrx is currently your ONLY option to play.
FYI the reference to GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc in extensions info is really a driver bug, r600 drivers do NOT support S3 texture compression (or any DXTN style texture compression) at this time.

Hi Xentra,

Even allowing us to use GL_RGB4 instead would be a much welcome addition. Kind regards.

Aren't the textures precompressed, though? I'm fairly sure if they weren't that disabling s3tc support in driconf would stop the problem.
