Dear Users,
we have just opened phase 3. Please follow the same rules and information from the previous phase: link

IMPORTANT:
To avoid errors (due to different parameters) diferentes), the options menu in Regnum's launcher app will no longer modify the configuration to the client accessing AMUN.

To change video options you can use the in-Game menu BUT there are two key options that can only be modified by editing the new GAME.CFG file in the test folder

El nue game.cfg is located in the test folder (ie: c:\games\ngd studios\regnumonline\testserver\

PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU ARE EDITING THE FILE LOCATED IN THE TEST SERVER FOLDER BEFORE

The two important options are the following:
vg_force_safe mode = 0 (0 by default if you put 1 the game will be forced to launch in safe mode)
vg_renderizer = direct3d9 (direct3d9 by default, put opengl to OpenGL)

The preferred configuration for windows systems is DIRECT3D

New Hardware support:

Nvidia 5000+ (with force safe mode in direct3d9)
Nvidia 6000+
Intel GMA 900+ 3000+ 4000+
Otras placas (with force safe mode in direct3d9)

We are still testing compatibility so it is very important to report/send crash dumpfiles when crash happen. Please don't worry yet about performance/fps, we need the engine to be stable first, then we will start optimizing.

Note: the Safe mode vesion is not working properly in OPEN GL

Please report any other problems you may find following the rules and with the most information possible in this thread

Ok now when i enter world under direct3D the game doesn't crash, but i see a black screen, hear the NGD jingle.

After this the screen remains black apart from the top left of the screen where it seems to be in a continuous loop of the following

DOWNLOADING 90%

51294 (COUNTS TO 100% THEN REPEATS)
51331 (COUNTS TO 100% THEN REPEATS)

10 resources loading

pc:

AMD® Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000 processor
ASUS GeForce 8500 GT 512MB graphics card
1GB ram
Windows xp

Under Ubuntu i have no such problems

That bug again, okey, I've temporarily erased those two resources from the resource server. Please try again, you will probably get text errors from powers and quests (in english), never mind that, we will fix this problem next week. Meanwhile, you can still help us test compatibility and stability.

Still getting a black screen as before but the resources are at least loading now

Edit: still loading resources 97% now at 01:03

Black screen. Download stuck at 83%.

Linux 2.6.30, nvidia-driver 180.60, xorg-server 1.6.3
Core 2 Duo E8200, nvidia 8600gt, 2gb ram

Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5670 1.80GHz, Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller, 4gb of RAM, Slackware Linux 13, Xorg Server 1.6.3, Mesa 7.5, xf86-video-intel 2.8.0

Regnum launcher download all files to start game but stuck at the firewall checking window. For some reason the "checking firewall" phrase don't appear and game start to download something. I waited more than 20 minutes and nothing happens so I decided to watch the regnum folder size and it increase very slowly (downloading much more than saving...). No success.
