Default Dev for Wildstar compliements Regnum, wishes both games the best

I was reading the /r/mmorpg subreddit and saw a dev for Wildstar nicknamed "CRB_Gaffer" post a comment as follows :-

"Regnum is a solid game, IMO - and is really well positioned in Argentina/etc. in the same way Lineage was throughout KR/Taiwan/etc. back in the day. Getting into a growing territory early with a solid game that plays well on the machines that are common there is quite a wise strategy.

Hopefully we are both around 7+ years from now "

Dispite all the BS, RO is still the most fun i had in a mmo game since Ultima Online!

Maybe even more fun, but i dont want NGD to get big headed either.

You all see what Hollybeano said there, "...i feel ngd actually has a deeper grasp of the games future than their playerbase, so i hope strategically they make the best decisions..."

....BUWAHAHAHAHA....

That's it: all we players just ... don't ... get ... it ... MUST be why CoR has been bleeding-out so many of the best & brightest of us for years now on every last (remaining) server besides RA ... ffs, it's like a neck-stuck-pig or a confused-&-buffless-pincushion-knight at an open-field archers' convention. Blood, blood everywhere ... oh, the losses ... oh, the humanity ... like CoR couldn't be far, far better & balanced & less broken than it is? ... but what dafuq do WE know, right?....

guess too

Wow, you completely misinterpreted it to allow yourself this stupid rant of yours. The person you quoted did not suggest NGD would know better what the game needs than their playerbase [Because that is impossible. A game needs what its playerbase wants.], but they said that NGD would understand its likely future better, and thus expressed their hope for that they would know best how to approach the necessary changes.

Now, if you could please stop your freaking whining.
There are many of us who enjoy the game's mechanics, know how to look for fair battles, and appreciate the fun that is in working on one's tactics and skill.
You have stopped to enjoy this. Maybe because the balance is not being fixed the way you would want it to, or because said fixes are not happening fast enough for you, or because you have simply considered the game's issues for too many years.
But no-one cares, and we would love to have our conversations without your crap. So please, either stop telling people about your stance towards the game that you do not play, or try to stick to constructive criticism.

"We"?! Is that the royal-we or you got a frog there in your pocket, RC? No, you don't. Therefore, speak for yourself alone & do NOT pompously presume to ever speak for the entire community. "...no-one cares..."?! "...our conversations..."?! OUR?! as in YOURS & those who agree with you, you mean to say?! Ye gods, the complete, unmitigated hubris! Hey, what is "crap" & "freaking whining" to you is sarcastic/sardonic/tongue-in-cheek lol-gold &/or dead-on accurate to many others (who tell me as much). "...do not play..."? Wrong again (as such a total ASSumption would be tho). I play less often & for shorter spans now, but I do still play. "...stop telling people about your stance..."? You wish! As if! I'll say what I want, when I want, how I want ... & STFU (however politely expressed) ain't any kind of proper refutation of ANY of the points I've been making & will CONTINUE to make. You want me to change my mind, then make your case for it, point-by-point & if warranted, being as I'm more open-minded than you might suspect, I WILL change it ... BUT, don't EVER arrogantly TELL me what to do. You're not God, my father, my boss (or even right ffs). PERIOD

I have done that. That was the part of my response that you completely ignored. Try answering that one again, if you feel like actually defending your point [although I do not see how it would still hold; hence the expression of my original argument.].

As for the accusations against my alleged talking of, as you put them, imaginary persons [which I have never actually referred to], or the commands towards you [which I have never made] feel free to enable your private messages, so we can discuss this private subject.

Wow, this guy is Jeremy Gaffney, the founder of Turbine, lead designer on Asheron's Call, (my favorite MMO ever) and Executive Producer on Wildstar. I can't believe he even knows that Regnum exists! thanks for bringing this to our attention. You have made my day!

Absolutely. I never left CoR because it will run on my home linux machine, even with crappy hardware. It will run from my local gaming cafe with good hardware, and it will run on my work dev laptop (shhhh). With the introduction of SteamOS and Valve obviously favouring Linux for gaming, let's hope it continues to flourish and gain popularity. What other solid MMOs can you say runs well on *nix platforms? None that are really worth mentioning.. I remember downloading RO years ago, and I was in awe having a game so fun playable on Linux at that time. Of course I changed from archer to barb when I found out arrows were finite. Thank god that isn't the case now
Congratulations on the compliment from Gaffney, NGD.
