Steam re-downloading entire game?
Today (7/17/2016), instead of Steam loading, then running RO, which is the norm, Steam is instead downloading a massive file (like the entire game is being downloaded again). My game files were not corrupted, but I saw nothing here or on Steam to indicate that such an occurrence was planned, so I just gotta' ask: WTF? Was it planned? If it was, then why were we not informed? It's odd; is this something I (we) should be concerned about? Is this for Linux users only, or all who play thru Steam. NGD, give us a heads-up p & ty....

Yeah, Champions of Regnum has a patch on Steam. No big deal, if you ask me (which I guess you technically kind of did) :P
It would be nice to have an announcement, but for most of my Steam games, there's no special announcement for patches on Steam, just maybe a little update in the news on its Steam page.

Hello!
The game client was extremely outdated in Steam. It should download just a small patch but given there could be a lot of differences (specially with the resource database (sdb files)) it could seem as downloading the whole client. Next time it shouldn't happen this way, as now the updating process has been normalised and attached to the common procedure of each game update. Sorry for the inconvenience!

No problem, Adrian, but I (we) did want to know. Thanks for your swift forum response, & please inform us in future if this is going to happen again eventually.

Of course. Now that the process is normalised, next updates will have the proper changelog posted.
