Default I still feel I know nothing about the game..

Hey guys,

Wow where to start.

Ive been playing Regnum or a little over a week now, with my friend, both coming from Runescape.

We both jumped head first to Reghead first, without knowing the slightest thing about it, except perhaps that there are 3 kingdoms and the various character classes.

So now Im a lvl 16 Barbarian in Ignis (I had no reason for choosing Ignis, I had no idea what the difference between each realm was and chose through random clicking,) yet I still feel as though I know absolutely nothing about the game.

Only by reading the forums did I learn anything about the WZ - and still I hardly know anything about that.

Ive no idea what "Mobs" are, they seem to get mentioned quite often.

I was looking on the "Crier" section of Regnumzg, on my realm, Ignis, and it looks like Ignis only has 22 quests...Compared to the 40 odd in the other 2 realms...Is this true? Have I chosen a dud realm? (Please no "zomg Syrtis 4 lyfe!!!" or any of that junk)

Are there any realm guides available? Im stuck on what to do now.. Ive got no quests to do. Im currently at what I call the "4th" city (cant remember what its called, its effectively the city to the left of the volcano area with the beach) trying to get to lvl 17, in the hope of another trainer quest.

Ive been to the remaining 2 cities - Meleketi and the other one not too far away from it, but there has been nothing there for me - I presume Im not high enough lvl yet.

Sorry for the wall of text, but has anyone got any help, at all? Im at a loss. If I think of anythign else Ill add it it.

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

MOB means mobile object, and it refers to the various monsters in the game. so you have seen them alright

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mob_%28computer_gaming%29

There are lots of quests for each realm, not all are listed in regnumzg. For a more complete list on ignis quests, check this site:

http://regnum-online.de/quests/quests-ra-ignis.html

The rest you'll find out more about as you play, and there really isnt anything deep to it: You got 3 realms on the map, each realm has it own territory behind safe walls (for now - see below) where you cannot be attacked by enemy players. Outside of your realms walls is a territory where anything goes, the war zone. aka the PvP area. Enemy realms attack each other, either in hunts (parties of players tracking down enemies and killing them off) or in 'fort wars' where armies from each realm fight each other to conquer forts on the map.

For now, there is really no point in capturing forts - just having fun, employing strategies etc. Later on, it is in the plans to implement an invasion system: once all 3 buildings of some realm are captured by another realm, the realm that lost their buildings can be invaded by the conquering realm - that means that they (as far as i know) can enter the opposing realm's safe territory and slay noobs!

uhm, as far as realm differences go, aside from the different classes available in each realm and the different territory, the only difference is what the players in each realm make of it: Alsius is more known for their deadly warriors, being one of the toughest realms to fight against, alas not so strong in numbers, ignis is known for it's very effective warlocks and being a very organized and strategic realm, and syrtis is the "legolas" realm, overpopulated, full of elf archers and no tactics whatsoever, we usually just win whenever we do by sheer overwhelming numbers! yay for being zerg! ;p

FANTASTIC!

Thank you so much, (after translating the page) thats my quest troubles sorted - Thanks Miraculix

So i guess I kinda picked the wrong realm for being a Barbarian? I hope being a Barbarian in Ignis doesnt make too much difference?

Don't worry, the 2nd most feared warrior of the game is a barbarian and he's from Ignis (the first one is from Alsius but we'll skip that part ok ).

Welcome to the Dune Sea, may your future be properly glorified upon the skulls of dead goats (slang for Alsirians or whatever they call themselves) and may your thirst be always appeased by the blood of the heretics (my favorite slang for Syrteans... or whatever they call themselves)!

Oh, almost forgot:

There's a webcomic dedicated to the game created by one of the players, a MUST read:

http://regnumcba.tk/

and Signatus here from Ignis publishes the first Newspaper in the world of regnum, 'The Medenet Times'!

http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...ad.php?t=17330

I guess you'd find these sooner or later, but the sooner the better
You might not get some of the 'inside' jokes at first, but it's fun nonetheless

There is a difference in the realms(kind of):
Alsius can't have archers which automatically start with 30 dex, and they're the only realm that have a race which can start with 35 of a stat(constitution) and they're the only realm which have 2 lvl 30 stats with some races. Ignis and Syrtis are pretty balanced(for lack of a better term) though.

hey and welcome to the game
unfortunately this game is still fairly new and you cannot just do quests until you get to lvl 50 to get alot of your xp you have to kill mobs especially around the 40s zone anyway about the wz you will eventually pick it up

Err...what he means is quests don't go all the way up to 50, they end around 40. Not the first quest is lvl 50(thankfully).
