How to run Regnum Online on Intel 965? Please help!
hello,
I am trying to run Regnum on an Intel graphics card on Ubuntu(on my friends PC), I have done the S3TC trick(the one with driconf), the libtxc-dxtn, and I am using intel instead of i810. I also tried the MALLOC_CHECK=0, but nothing works. The two videos at the beginning work fine, but then after that it crashes with this:game: intel_regions.c:231: intel_region_data: Assertion `dst_offset + dstx + width + (dsty + height - 1) * dst->pitch * dst->cpp <= dst->pitch * dst->cpp * dst->height' failed. I need help ASAP! Thanks! |

You need to acquire an nvidia card.

Is that truly the only way?
I read some people managed to run it with an Intel card, and besides the game runs well in Windows. |

Yes, on Windows the 965 chip works; however, under linux it does not. This has to do with the drivers provided for linux on this video card Since that card is not supported by the ati (fglrx) drivers you will not be able to play this game under linux.

Sigh..
And here I thought Intel provided good drivers. Looks like my friend won't be playing it anytime soon.. :/ It's kinda funny Regnum Online does run great on my ATI Radeon X1250, while it doesn't on an Intel card :/ |
