Disconnection problems

Hello everybody,

Since yesterday, i am always disconnected about 1mn or 2 after having logged into the game. This is not a client crash, i have a dialog box saying that i am disconnected from the server, as if i had exit the game through the main menu (see atachment). Everythings worked fine before yesterday, and i did not change anything in my computer configuration. Ping is normal, about 200ms or less.

Anyway, i tryed the following things:
- Check the openned port of the firewall, didn't work.
- Put the computer into a DMZ (wich mean no firewall at all), didn't work.
- I use to play under Linux. I tryed a new install under Linux, and another one under Windows (on another computer), didn't worked.
- I tryed the experimental server with the old Linux install and the firewall ON : worked.

This seems to say that it is not a configuration problem on my side, but somewhere between me and the server. I have attached a traceroute to the server, if someone know how to read this stuff... I am thinking of a routing problem somewhere, but the strange thing is that the experimental server works (are they located at the same place ?).

Anyway, i wonder if someone have a similar problem, and if someone can help me with this problem... Any ideas ?

Thanks for your answer, i'll make a few more tests as soon as i can... Not stay still of the regular server, and stay still on the experimental one (because i can't remenber if i was moving or not on the experimental server).

If this is confirmed, i think i 'll have to stop playing... Pity, it was working fine before...

Ok, so i made a few more tests:

On the main server:
I get disconnected after 1mn, whatever i do, stay still or keep running.

On the experimental server:
I did not make a move for more than 5mn whitout getting disconnected.

Sorry Katie, but it seems that this is not the same problem you had...

Does anybody knows if the main server and the experimental one are located at the same place ? And if there is a way to get a log file or something like that ?

I've asked on the French Regnum community forums if someone with the same ISP has the same problem, waiting for answers.

I'm off for the week-end. I hope it'll work better on sunday evening...

Ok so I am really now getting ticked off............. I have uninstalled and reinstalled checked everything and double checked. So why 4 you count them 4 times in 10 minutes was I disconnected from server? I am not happy and I know that there are a lot of unhappy people out there. Sort it please.

P.S I am at this moment uninstalling and re-installing yet again ( 2nd time ). There is nothing wrong with my connection and my computer runs fine.

Ok few news. It still does not work. I've found at least 2 more people from the french community with the same ISP who have the same problem... We try to know a bit more about port filtering on the FAI side, but the strange thing is that the experimental server works...

dragonladyuk, you were disconnected 4 times in 10mn, but are you able to play sometimes for more than a few minutes ? We cannot play at all, being always disconnected one minute after having logged in.

Can someone from NGD says what he thinks of this issue ?

I have the same problem log in try and move cant th4en message comes up you have been disconnected from server, have reported this twice to regnum.
I dont think it is a prob with comp, i think it is prob with server because this has only happened since the last server maintenance

Hu ? What is UDP for then ?

Anyway, someone with the same ISP has reported that game works fine... So i don't have any more idea where this problem can come... It seems that it happen frequently with this ISP, but not often.
