New English speaking international server!
Hi Community,
Given the growth our game’s community is having and with the eagerness of giving a better service and appeal a larger quantity of players, we have decided to open a new international server with a different focus. The idea is that this server has English as its primary language. This will allow new English speaking users not to be “scared” of seeing that most of the other users are speaking in another language. We have no intention of separating the community, but to allow users who prefer a friendlier environment regarding in-game used language. To ensure that the population of the game is English speaking, this new server will be only accessible for users from non Ibero or Latin American countries for an initial period of time. A new server implies the opportunity to start again, a new life of adventures in Regnum Online. We hope that actual English speaking users help us populate this new world calling friends and speaking well of our game. The launch of this new server will be on Tuesday August 5, 2008. Regards,

I understand this decision but... AGUANTE COMUNIDAD IBERO-LATINO AMERICANA!!!
Anyway, is there the possibility of accounts migration between Ra and the new server? (it's a rhetorical question I suspect, but please clarify Kailer) The point is, I already have money invested, and even if I fancy the idea of getting on this new server I want to know if there are mechanisms to ensure that I don't loose my previous spending. Either a strict migration (account deleted on Ra and a copy made on the new server) or dual log in possibility (on both servers) would provide, at least, a reasonable base of discussion on the issue. This is a very big move indeed,
but Kailer I would like to know if there will be the possibility of being able to not have to start over again, if there will not be a possibility like that, then any new English speaking players will go to the new server, meaning whats left on Ra will die out over time. |

There is no way in hell i'm lvling a character to 50 under the current fatigue rules. The first time was bad enough. If i can transfer my character, and those of my guild mates characters, sure- i would GLADLY switch over. But there's just no way in heck i'm going to lvl back to 50 all over again. (let alone trying to find all the items i've been lucky enough to get so far!) IF NGD allows player characters to transfer to the new server i will go right away. If they don't, i will stay at RA until the english speaking community dies there, at which time i will simply stop playing. Last edited by Valorius; 08-01-2008 at 10:02 PM. |

I won't make a fuss about this because NGD is using the language differences to justify it, but it's at least a questionable issue. London is closer to Lisbon then any other capital, except Madrid (but not by much, but even then I rather go to Barcelona)... I was going to start a discussion about how Portugal and Spain have obvious influences in Central and South America but only to acknowledge that language is part of a culture and that culture is, as always have been, European. But the matter at hands doesn't justify it, it's a decision made by a private company. Good luck with it. Che, suerte!
