New clan starting on Horus. Looking for co-founders
Greetings all,
I would like to formally announce (Thanks for the suggestion, Laeloth) the soon-to-be birth of a new clan in the Syrtis Realm. I helped Charlotte Co-found Astrum Argentum on Ra, along with 6 others. We have since moved to the new server, Horus, and are starting a clan there. We are looking for people that would be interested in helping found the clan. If you are interested in helping to found this new clan, feel free to /chat with NyteFyre (that's me) or Charlotte for more details. Here are some things you need to know before deciding to help: Founding members are expected to help pay the 2 million gold clan fee to create the clan. Don't freak out, Charlotte and I already have saved *well* over 1 mil together, and we have at least 2 other founding members putting in their shares as well. The remaining cost will be equally split amongst the remaining founding members. We will have to have a minimum of 8 level 15 characters to found the clan. You will help create the name of the clan if you help found it. We already have a good list of really cool potential clan names to choose from, but any founding member is welcome to submit their own to the list. The clan will have a rank system, it will most likely be level based with the exception of the top "elite" ranks in the clan. Something special will be required to achieve them. Founding members will be allowed to choose their own starting rank in the clan. There will be a couple of clan rules, and they are fairly simple to follow... First and foremost: Do nothing that degrades the name and honor of the clan. Running around the realm begging people for gold will be cause for direct expulsion from the clan. Second: If a clan member needs help, it will be expected that the clan will do their best (within reason) to help that clan member out. (This does not mean clan member can beg within the clan for gold. Or expect to be the sole focus of senior clan members for levelling purposes all the time.) Third: You will not be *required* to fight in the WZ once you are high enough level, but the clan will organize regular hunts or group-based fort war strikes for those interested. Plenty more to come, but most of it will be decided upon by the founding members. Until then, we look forward to seeing you in the realms! Respectfully, NyteFyre |

As said ingame, if you need a helping hand for the creation of the clan - and as already said pwner AwD just above :P - in cash or nature, just call for it. The spirit where you want to lead this clan seemed respectable to my eyes, you can count on me.
A tip for the Founder char : it can be helpful to have a separated account for this char. This way, some selected members can activate it when needed (useful when the main player of the char is ill, on holidays or whatever). It may also be useful that the founders players come to an agreement on the rules and management of the clan before creating it : which way to engage new members (call for a vote before any new engagement? lvl minimum required ? state of mind required ?) ? Will there a bank char and who will manage it ? Best wishes for the creation, anyway ! ^^

Anyways, yeah. Since It is decided that this clan will be founded by a group (and not solo), the "representative" being an open char is most wise.

Greetings everyone,
Thank you for your responses, and any help creating the clan will be most welcome. As Nytefyre said, the founding members will be allowed to choose their title. New members' titles will be mostly level-based, and the minimum level required to join will be ten. I will repeat the main rules as stated by Nytefyre: First and foremost: Do nothing that degrades the name and honour of the clan. Running around the realm begging people for gold will be cause for direct expulsion from the clan. Second: If a clan member needs help, it will be expected that the clan will do their best (within reason) to help that clan member out. (This does not mean clan member can beg within the clan for gold. Or expect to be the sole focus of senior clan members for leveling purposes all the time.) Third: You will not be *required* to fight in the WZ once you are high enough level, but the clan will organize regular hunts or group-based fort war strikes for those interested. I will state now that the management account will not be an open account, and this is not open for discussion. Recruiters, including myself, will generally not use Syrtis chat to recruit members unless someone states that they would like to join a clan and wants to know what their options are, nor will we run around begging people to join our clan instead of another. Members we recruit will generally be people we have levelled with. Clan armoury: The special weapons and armour collected by the clan that are not in use will be stored in the inventories of second or third characters created for this purpose on the accounts of founding members and anyone we designate as a recruiter in the future. Once again, thank you for your responses. See you in game! Respectfully, Charlotte |
