Direct3D renderer

When I star the game, after it verifies, I get this message:

"Error initializing Direct3D renderer"

I have reloaded direct X, still the same problem.
I looked at the renderer choices and the only option I have is Direct 3D.

Anyone have any suggestions?

This should fix the problem your currently having.

I followed the link loaded the latest version of direct x and have the same error message.

Any other ideas?

Hmm you said previous you only saw 1 renderer option which was Direct3D? That sounds odd. I suggest that you try to re-download the game and see what happens.

Graphic card up to date with the latest updated driver?

Yes my graphics card is up to date. I played Regnum only 2 months ago.

I'll reload the game and see if that does anything.

Before I reloaded he entire game, I updated my video card drivers. That did the trick. Thanks for your help.
