Edit resolution options?
Before I enter the game, in the options menu Im able to change my screen resolution. My laptop is 1280x800 and Id like to run in windowed mode, not full screen. If I pick say, 1024x768, the bottom of the game gets cut off and I cant see the most important stuff! If I run in 800x600 which works fine, the game is almost too small to enjoy. Is there a config file someplace for Regnum in my home directory (or elsewhere) I can change and put in some screen resolution somewhere in between? Thanks for any help!

In my options of the RO client i could change the resolution to 1280x768. Maybe you has not the newest version of the RO client or what?
The configfile is named game.cfg. There are the options "vg_screen_height =..." and "vg_screen_width =...". An advice: If you use the gnome desptop you could let e.g. the upper panel automatic dissappear and at the buttom panel you could place hide buttons. Then you will see the complete regnumscreen, if you use the resolution 1280x768. |

Just play it in full screen!
This game is sexy in full screen display. I like to sit in the kitchen and defeat enemies while all of the lights are off.

In the game.cfg file that Cuchulainn mentions, the vg_screen_height and vg_screen_width parameters will set the window resolution to whichever you specify, but the window will still be full screen mode.
Find the line that reads vg_fullscreen_mode = 1 and change it to 0. Voila, windowed mode. |
