Pendalf is an unknown quantity at this point
Default -2 bonuses for mages: is it fair?

As you all know, mages have low defence because they have no leggings and pauldrons. If mages will have ordinary defense, then it will make them unbalancing strong. But, with additional defence, mages loose 2 bonusing slots (other classes can use leggings and paudrons with bonuses to HC, strength, dexterity etc). I think this is unfair.

I suggest to make rings for mages with 2 additional bonuses or 2 additional slots for rings.

This also means that mages have fewer items to repair.
So there's an upside to this too

You can go on and on, you'll always find some sort of 'inbalance', simply because the classes are just ... different from each other.

There are rumors that mages can get up to +10 bonuses for each piece.
I have seen +8 bonuses myself, and this is more than any other class.

I have never seen a +10 bonus item. So I did a little search, and found at least a +8 item. For knight. Well, the thread is a year old, so those drops might not be available anymore. I don't know.

But something like this?
Mages: 4*7 = 28
Others: 6*5 = 30

But I think that other classes can have +6, and perhaps +7 too. But except those ultra-rare items for mages (more than +7) and other classes (more than +6), I still think other classes can have a couple of extra bonus stat points.

Ok, it's harder to find 6 items with high bonuses, but that is somehow irrelevant to the discussion (as well as the repair costs - mages have lots of cash ).

I have only once seen a +7 stat item after they nerfed drops, but they excist for a class, a nice point I didn't think of.

I don't know if +7 excists for a warrior/archer anymore because those drops are so damn rare/hard to get that I almost believed they were removed from mages, so I think a developer might have to answer the question
