Realm Selection Screen Doesn't Load

Howdy All,

I just installed Regnum Online on Ubuntu 8.04 and am looking forward to playing the game. However, after installation (which seems to have gone fine) once I start the game, I am taken to a screen where I am supposed to 'Choose My Realm.' However, nothing else seems to render except an exit button. There is just a big black area on the screen which, if I mouse over one part, says "You Gain 10% Experince." That's it, there are no other invisible mouse overs that I can find.

I think there might be some issue with my graphics card. I am running a Radeon 9800 Pro with the 9.3 version of the proprietary Linux drivers installed. The card has been giving me issues in Savage 2 as well, however, Regnum's graphics requirements are less so I might be able to get away with it. I don't mind upgrading or changing my driver version, if someone can point me to a 9.2 version of the ATI drivers, that would be great.

Of course, I may be getting ahead of myself, there might be some configuration file or something that I need to edit to properly get Regnum installing. If this is the case please let me know.

Any ideas anyone?

Try searching Synaptic for envyng. Install that and then install the ATI drivers it recommends. Hope that helps. =)

I already did that. I am not sure which driver version it updated me to, but it did not work. Last night I manually installed version 8.12 of the ATI catalyst drivers and they got Savage 2 graphics working perfectly, however, Regnum's Realm Screen still doesn't render for me.
