Thumbs up Congratulations on new Initiation Zone

I just wanted to congratulate NGD very briefly on the new Ignis Initiation Zone. To be honest, I'm shocked, because I never thought NGD was capable of such things. But the new mechanics, questline, and the dungeons!

It really assures me that this game has the potential at least, along with the new engine, this is something I look forward to in the future. When the whole game will be at this level.

I recommend checking it out too if anyone still hasn't, and once again, very nice job NGD. ( That's rare coming from me )

Yeah the new initiation zones are wonderful...
Makes me wish NGD has focused on polishing the whole world instead of degrading the playability of their game.

Thanks for your compliment... we are all glad that you liked it.

we have only 1 person to work on quests...
I think she and the team did a great job as a lot of functionality was added to support this new types of quests and interactivity.

The only sad factor is the following:

This only represents around 10 hours of gameplay when lvl 1 to lvl 50 is more than 500.

3 months to do 10 hours of this quality of questing. This means that it would take us at least 1000 months to make all of the PVE game experience like this. It would be easier if we had a bigger team though .

I wonder why wow has 300 developers just working on expansions... (we are 15 by the way, working on a new engine at the same time)

I took a quick de-tour to Tyr the other day (I have a Dutch friend and wanted to see activity on the server), so I did the first 10 levels in Alsius. The Initiation Zone is really great, the quests are really good and it looks nice! A lot better consistancy than before..

I must try the first levels in Ignis out now too! It really looks great from the pictures!

You, chilko, have an extreme devotion to your Game. You make it grow as it was a son and you wont let it die. So, you work 156841,03871 % faster than Blizzard (i think it is the wow company).

How about an idea, you remember your video contest you made? Well make a quest contest now, and to authors of best quest(s) give some xim reward. This way you don't have to hire more people and we get better pve. Win win situation.

Edit: I mean how hard can making quests be from a technical viewpoint? Place few new npc's or re-use the old ones, recycle some code or write a bit of new one and you're done. I mean I've actually done a lot of gamedesign (mostly for Neverwinter Nights, using the Aurora toolset for their engine), and scripted a lot of quests. It's not hard, you just need a good story/idea for one.

If you don't have enough people, hire more. Quest writers is not hard to find (like developers).
Or involve community in this.
You have many options, you just need to use it.
