Default Alsius/Horus-post fort victory...

Okay, the situation is:

We've grabbed 6-8 people, gathered at pp2, attacked Algae-rot, and taken it. IF hippies show up to retake it, then we obviously stay there to defend. So what is the proper course of action if no one shows up, as has been known to happen?

Do we move on to another fort? Castle? Try to get more people?

I understand the futility of trying to invade with 6-8 people. So how many do we need before trying to do so? Or is it something that no one but ignis is interested in anymore? I'm getting the vibe that no one in Alsius even wants to invade at all, but just be content with farming.

With 8 ppl I'd head to stone to have some fight and fun. Why should you bother to go all the way to efe castle to start an invasion?

What kind of fun can you have if no one shows up, as in my question?

You dont have fun, but this is risk of capturing fort no1 cares about (if they know u cant even dream about invasion or having any serious fight in herbred).

Actually when you capture stone then it's quite possible that somebody will show up as CS is the most crowded save in the whole game (most of the time).

My point is if you're looking for fun, triggering an invasion isn't probably the way to go. There were dozens of great fights before invasions were even implemented.

Yesterday (well early this morning for me ) when we (Ignis) were having fun at Eferias, Alsius took Menirah then set up camp outside Samal with equal parts warlocks and conjurers and then a couple of hunters to boot. You seemed to have plenty of fun being almost invulnerable while not actually attacking the fort then....
