Regarding the evade and resist rate since the last patch...
I'd like to begin by saying this post isn't intended to spawn bitching, but rather invite discussion regarding the issues of the current evade and resist coding. I've definitely noticed a rise in unexpected runs of "avoided" hits since the last patch, especially on classes that have little or no powers that would contribute towards such an effect. In this case a run of six attacks were evaded or resisted by one barbarian, at which point I was killed, then managed to get two hits on a knight, and then a different barbarian resisted four consecutive powers. This is the most spectacular run of attack avoidance I've experienced, excluding when I've been attacking a knight of course due to the additional blocks.
Now, what I'm interested to know is if the devs have any comment on why these anomalies occur, and whether they will be improved prior to the new engine, or after the new engine? I've always been one to persevere with Regnum, as I love it to pieces, but I've seen others with less patience quit regarding things like this, which is clearly a shame. I suppose the other thing is has anyone noticed any realm special items or powers which seem to work far more effectively than they should? I appreciate if this is the case there's a good chance players who know about such things are going to keep quiet and enjoy the benefits. But it's an interesting area of investigation rather than assuming the engine itself as a mechanic is bugged. Again, let's keep this constructive. I'm a supporter of this game, and I think it's come a long way. Occasionally issues like this do become hard to ignore though, and it's always to sad to see players discouraged when such issues maybe could receive special attention to be fixed or improved in some way.

I have noticed this as well. Frustrating to say the least.
It SEEMS like MS works much better VS mages than other classes, and oddly enough i managed one vs a hunter a week or so ago, even through sotw, though i suspect that an anomaly rather than a trend indication.

I have experienced some more evades by enemies and barbarians too, than it used to.
How much hit chance you have?

If there's a random chance an evade will occur, there's a (smaller) random chance 6 evades in a row will occur. Where's the bug?

if you think that is frustrating, try to turn on your 200% booster and watch it go to waste due to all this shit

Amen!
Mobs do this too. Sometimes i can kill a yellow in a few hits.... and then hit an easy, and get killed because of all the resist/evades. What up? |

Meh, it seems as though with each passing update they turn up (at least) the mob evade/resist rate. We all know NGD random number generator does not work in a very random fashion. I had 6 or 7 resists one day, next mob another 6 to 7, next few mobs each resisted 2 or 3 each.

There should be no BASE resist/evade rate. It should be triggered ONLY when a related skill is used. Simple as that, tell it to the dev's though.

I totally understand you here. Since ever I've had a problem with spell focus/enemy resistance, because my spells get ridiculously resisted one after the other on the same target. And I'm not talking about mobs here, but players. I've seen plenty of times in arena fights, that warriors have some wicked resist rate, and there's no fight where at least 3 or 4 spells didnt got resisted, sometimes one imediatly after the other.
I thought INT gave spell resistance, so how comes a warrior gets to resist more than a mage? |
