Audio fix for Ubuntu 9.10 karmic
Ok people what I did was this:
In the terminal: sudo gedit /etc/openal/alsoft.conf change the divice line form Alasa backend stuff to this: ## ALSA backend stuff ## [alsa] ## device: # Sets the device name for the default playback device. device = alsa remember to un coment it. Hope this helps. |

Hi, it works great but i got a weird problem when changing this configuration line...
Whenever i reboot sound settings from notification zone are set to 5% ??? Any idea? Last edited by fx33; 12-07-2009 at 08:10 AM. Reason: Other solutions don't work |

I have tried this on both my 64bit ubuntu desktop and my wifes 32bit laptop, and it works perfectly.
Please add this on the download page, the read me or somewhere else VISIBLE. I took ages to fin a multiplayer linux game that my wife like too, and she was going to give it up because was sick of hard freezes caused by the audio. |

I type in this command in the terminal and just get a blank screen. It opens gedit and shows a blank document

Do you have libopenal1 installed?
