shieldicons in admin control panel in the clan window

When you open the control panel for the clan, there are some shield icons, what do they do?
I can't click them and it doesn't explain anything above what will happen if I remove a shield.

I'm on ubuntu linux.

It's the rank.
The more shields you have, the higher rank you have.

so they really doesn't do anything else than look pretty?

. I thought it might have been privileadges(sp?) you chose to give each rank some privileadges, invite, expell or something else.

Yes that is right, the higher shield a player has the more people you can expell. Like everyone below your rank you can expell. Also, there is a point where you can recruit, but I forgot what rank that was.

IMHO the clan system is still very broken.
im highest rank and i cant expell certain people...

the highest ranking people in my clan cant EXPEL also and its starting to get annoyed that only the founder for now can do it...

Ngd studios can you respond to us.. this is becoming a serious issue that i for once have reported more than a million times and i still got no answer to it.
