Default Insane crashes

Since last update v1.6.2, I noticed an insane amount of crashes, like 75% chances to crash in a big fight, but nothing happens during very small fights or grinding. In short, that makes common wars impossible to play.

I have toggled on/off many options, make tests from fixed pipeline to shaders 4.0, etc.
And I have noticed all my crashes come from "weapon trails" option. Desactivating this option drastically reduces crashes.

options.jpg

Hardware: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+, Nvidia 9600 GT 512 MB, RAM 2 GB
Software: Ubuntu 10.10 (lucid) 64bits, Linux 2.6.32.22, NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-190.53

All feedbacks are welcome.

------------------------

to NGD:
I have also noticed my error_log.txt file grows up to a very huge amount of lines since 2010-06-17 (~270 Mio at this moment):
- 253 024 lines from 2009-12-16 until 2010-06-17
- 2 618 417 lines from 2009-12-16 until 2010-06-19 (today)

~50 identical lines are repeated over and over again, ~36x per second.

I'm experiencing same insane crashes rate since 1.6.2.

Yesterday at Shaana, it occured 6 times to me, i sent some crash reports using dedicated interface (when game restarts).

The RO client never used to crash for me (except on the occasional buggy patch), but since the WC event i am crashing like crazy too.

Also on Ubuntu (9.10), x86_64, nVidia proprietary driver.

One more crash test dummy here since the event update (roughly 18times/day). Nothing has changed on my side, it was fine before the event.

64bit Linux, nVidia proprietary driver.
C2d processor, 4gig ram, nVidia GTX 260 graphics card.

I crash around everything and in every possible way, wars, strolls, grind, mountaineering, snowboarding,...

I have sent innumerable crash reports.

No xim for you NGD till you fix it.

Same thing for me, I crash a lot more since the event.

But the crashes are even worse than before, eg : my client freezes for 30 seconds, then for an unknown reason, the desktop resolution switches to the client resolution (if I play fullscreen), and then the client crashes. (on Windows using D3D tho)

My crashes are mostly in big battles and what happens is turning my screen blank, and keyboard or mouse arent responding. Only reset button helps. Noticed this after boring event was introduced on live servers.
