To imply that gay people are promiscuous is asinine at best and downright offensive at worst. I have lots of gay, monogamous friends.

I fully support any kind of healthy relationship between n* people** that makes them happy.

* where n is a Natural greater than 1 and smaller or equal than the number of humans currently alive.
** Humans over legal age or any other sufficiently advanced being that can sign and understand contracts.

The word you were looking for is polygamous. Now the opposite of poly is mono, but monogamous is used in a different context. Secondly; who cares how many wives someone has? Does that harm you? I think all religion is completely retarded. I'm an uber-militant atheist, but I don't give a rat's ass who you sleep with, or with how many, male or female. That's none of my business.
Anyway, just think a little more before you use a word you don't know. Saves my blood-pressure.
