Arranged War on Amun

Im not sure if its been done yet, but can we arrange some kind of war on amun that meets the same criteria as an everyday war on the live servers. With all these huge changes that we have yet to test in a real war situation, i think this might help to understand NGD's vision and prepair us for "the update".

So, someone suggest a time and date. All realms and servers are welcome. spread the word to people who don't read the forums once we find a suitable time/date.

These has been suggested before in the past and NGD kinda said no...it's a testing server...it's there to test on, war is for the main servers.(Can't find the thread, but ill keep looking)

So let me get this straight. We're given all these new features that's based on a mass war situation, that we're meant to 'test' but we rent allowed to 'test' it in a real war situation on the 'test' server?

anyway that link is irrelevant as the original poster had no intention of testing, just mass warring amongst the servers, whereas the whole reason for arranging this specific war is to simply test how these changes would work on the everyday live servers.

How about every 6 hours to accommodate different timezones?:

We just need to pick a spot for the war, then. If the extra save altar comes back, Herbred is probably the most convenient place.

I remember that thread, and I guess (I have no facts to back this up) that Amun is not run on a server that can handle real player load, thus NGD's dis-encouragement to have an epic battle amongst all server population on Amun.

It might be nice if NGD piped up in this thread to let us know for sure. I agree that an arranged fort-war or invasion-war on Amun would be a better way to test the changes to balance, and I think it should happen. Perhaps NGD intends to stagger the update so that Ra gets it first or something, to make sure that there's no horrific imbalances. Failing that, I think the best option is some kind of limited arranged wars on Amun to stress the network code and observe the new interactions between the classes in mass.
