Native client for MAC OS X ?

I know there is a version using CrossOver but is not like one native client.ANd i don't like MS(personal opinion,no need another infinite discusion about...).

And at all is not so hard if you have Linux CODE to port to MAC OS X.

There is a advantage for devs:
-Subscribe as free game on Apple shop will atract tons of new players to they game
-Issue of game are limited at a few VGA cards and a few CPU-s

-You dont need to subscribe in MAC developers program ...there down on the web page is possible to be subcribed free.

I tryed to port some usual librarys used by Linux client ....but there is a troble with video drivers and video card detection .Because even Darwin kernel is UNIX(Note:UNIX is not same with Linux even they come from same source.) based one will he use Quartz Extreme server and not X11 server ...X11 is optional and is 3-th party app ..i tryed with QXserver ...dose not work...same troble with video card detect...and i can not touch integrity of RO client due of legal reasons.

The best think of this game is LINUX NATIVE CLIENT...but if wee have MAC OS X client will be very cool.Anyway i think over 60% of people from game use LINUX and will be cool to have another 20% using mac too.

Won't happen I think, sadly

We had this discussion some time ago. NGD opened a petition. If we reach 10,000 signers they will think about porting it.
642 in almost 2 years... I already did some "advertising" in German Apple/Mac/Gaming boards at the time the petition started.

I am agree to some points.But there is a problem of view.
Nobody will try forum before play the game.To be more explicit:
If there was not Linux client then a few Linux users will be in game and in forum also.SO before offer to MAC user one client and try the game and after you can ask them to vote one poll.
One conclusion at this:Win and Linux not have interest on this.

I dont think in game are 10 000 active users ...is bit imposible that petition anyway....
Well then better close this topic...sorry for not reading forum before posting...in that case will never be realised.

well the real problem with making a game client for a mac is that ngd would probably need to have at least 4 macs to test and keep the client updated with the rest the cost of 4 macs good enough to program and test a client is a pretty big chunk of money for a group of devs who are not makin that much to begin with

No offense but thats what you get when you buy a Mac.

Mac's are not built for gaming. Macs are overpriced toys made by Apple that advertise as a revolutionary competitor to Windows. You could buy a normal notebook with 3x better performance for the same price as a MacBook that has outdated hardware. Infact, if you're buying a MacBook, most of the money usually goes to the pretty casing that is ultimately useless. Mac related products are generally inferior.

Apple's market mainly attracts people that have no knowledge whatsoever in technology.

You can spend an assload of money collecting gear and this is what you'll get. Wow you can spend $700 dollars for an iPad experience of Uno! Or you could spend $20 at Wal-Mart and buy the same card version!

Reasons:
