gear cs bonus seems to be working fine
Hi!
Because some warlocks were complaining about nerfed cs bonus, ( see this thread as an example: http://znurre.regnumonline.com.ar/fo...ad.php?t=66476 ) I decided to do some testing before using my cs gear. To me cs bonus on gear seems to be working fine. Sultar's terror casted 10 times: ------ average measured cast time: 3.00 s Sultar's terror casted 10 times with arc.dev(5) ------ average measured cast time: 1.69 s Sultar's terror casted 10 times with arc.dev(5) and 16% cs bonus from gear ------ average measured cast time: 1.49 s Of course the test is in no way precise, I was using a manual stopwatch, but I doubt this difference is just the result of human error. Maybe people think cs gear is not working well enough because they expect arc.dev to reduce casting time to 50%, which is not the case. Since I've only been playing for two months, and never did any cs tests before, I dont know if something has changed or it was like this all the time, but for me it was convincing enough to keep using my cs gear. I would love to hear about other test results or opinions. |

And this is one of the most worthless comments I have ever seen. If you take the effort to make a comment, why not put some useful info in it, like _enio_ did?
Besides, my only goal was to see if it makes a noticable difference or not. Since I could answer my initial question, I consider it a success. This is just a game, not a scientific research topic. I'm terribly sorry if you prefer more accurate methodology, sorry for sharing what I found. Most probably I will not do so in the future. |

hmm well what you hear folks complaining about is from the old cast speed system. without a gcd , A sultar could be cast very fast compared to the current times

You need to capture it with fraps, preferably with 60fps captured, then you can read the actual casttimes out quite nicely.
