Can someone clear this up(minus the conspiracy theorists)

So i'm sure all of you have heard of the Comet Elenin if not - http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.cfm?release=2011-135

Now my question is this why are there people posting on the interwebs about how this comet is a cover for a brown dwarf planet(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_d..._dwarfs)called Nibiru? I don't understand the connection. I researched a little as i read somewhere that Earth has already been hit by a planet when it was was first formed this planet was called Theia.
Also there's another comet that's gonna come close to earth called Honda this one is gonna come a lot closer than Elenin will. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/45P/Hon...C3%A1kov%C3%A1

So any thoughts please..and if possible no 'OMFG WERE GONNA DIE!!??' posts.
