Default weapons damage type

I still don't really know which kind of damage type the main attr gives.
For example:
I have a staff with lighting damage, then it's ok, my inteligence will turn into lighting damage.
But what's happen when I have a staff with fire and piercing damage? (sambro's staff)
Warriors have often 3 damage type on their weapon. Do you know how calculating the damage from strenght? Daen bow have piercing and fire too. etc.

barbs gets 2 damages per str points over 20.
I.E. a bb with 130 str obtains (130-20)*2=220 dmgs from str

How do you know this? Assumingly NGD hasn't released any formulas and so far the raw math of it was per str point into 2.

And going by it, say if the barb does a normal of 500 on a easy mob unbuffed, then buffing his strength to 130 as in the example, he should do a 720 normal? It's hardly the case as I have tested in my opinion. The damage obtained from strength points is so negligible it's not even worth investing points into it.
