Default Sexy Beacons

Been a bit busy in rl so I havn't really been on. This last week I managed to get some free time and get involved in the hardcore, skill-required, 'sexy' fort wars. I've gotta say... I've got a growing love for these beacons. -.^

Question: Do you like the new Beacons?

P.S I imagine the answers will vary depending on the class since not everybody benefits as much from the beacons.

Thanks
Surfacing

Are we discussing the same beacons? Or have they been changed in the last few days and I haven't been informed.

There needs to be a "They need some work." option, as I am not content with them however I would argue against removing them completely as it would only degrade the value of war master further.

Repeating myself but to be short I still think WM beacons ruined most of the tactical aspect of this game and turned the war into a pure damage contest thus greatly emphazing the class imbalance in RvR.
Also they didn't introduce any more versatility, since all classes have exactly the same WM spells.

They seriously need a removal or a big revamp.

"Barbarian: Yesh, dammit! I like 'em!"

But on a serious note, they do need a lot of re-work. Personally I liked the game without them. On a side-note, they tend to fail a lot though, so that 70% must be working somewhere but they still do need more variety and adjustment in my view. Voted for the last option.

And welcome back.

Beacons are a bad thing. I liked the game much more before.

I agree with what people before me wrote. Also don't forget that beacons give more edge to different classes (eg. warriors)

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on beacons.

As you are a skilled and experienced player, I just suggest to take the time to see how it works now, adapt your setup and gameplay to the new rules, and enjoy the fact that it's no more possible to kill a whole group in 15 seconds with a sultar-and-everyone-using-his-best-AoE like it was before WMs

I personnally think, even if it's just me, that gameplay is better with actual WM features.
Persuaded? No, it's called thinking outside of the box, about overall balance and game play rather than your own favourite subclass. You obviously miss the bigger picture.

How do you adapt to 90% CC resist? As a support knight, the only CC that is now useful is any slow spell or -%protection spell I may have.

So, by adapting my setup, you mean I should just not bother skilling CCs that can be resisted by beacons? Then what use is there of these CCs even being in my skill tree?

The only thing war master beacons have achieved is to further increase the problems of realm balance as well as class balance. Overpopulated groups can now farm longer, gank longer and save camp for longer periods of time. Yeah, great improvement in game play there!

They require some modifying but complete removal is a lazy solution.

I voted Knight:JAJAJAJA just for the sake of it despite the fact I have no idea what "jajajaja" is supposed to mean - I'm guessing it's a foreign thing.

Warmaster update = Revival of NGD's stagnated revenue model.

The levelling/ spell or attribute model was not changed or improved to last longer so once it stagnates again, brace for level 65.

This Warmaster update cannot be fixed without a serious overhaul. I don't see NGD doing it. They will tinker and fiddle with what is there and hope to stretch the update as long as possible.

In my humble opinion it is already stagnant.

I didn't vote because none of the options suited me. I vote for a comprehensive review of the Warmaster update with an aim to overhauling and making a real expansion instead of the pseudo-expansion we have now.

It is not just beacons, it is the whole thing.
