Crash Problems
Hi,
My son and myself have an account each, running different computers. I run Ubuntu OS my son runs Windows OS. When I am on the game on my own, I have no problem at all, however when on the game with my son I have about 5 - 10 minutes before the game crashes... Is this something to do with using the same IP address as we have the same connection to the Internet? If it is something to do with IP address or similar... Is there a way around it please? |

Can you add the log when you have been crashed.
As far as i know, you can only browse on the internet with a hidden IP. I don't think it works with other types of software (like Regnum) |

You can just copy the text in the Log, and copy it here
Because it's kinda hard to read atm You can use [c0de] [/c0de] if its too long Try following things: -Use Shader Model 2.0 -Put off download resources at once -Run game as Administrator If that doesn't work, i think you have to delete all SBD files from C:\Games\NGD Studios\Regnum Online, or re-install the game Last edited by Quincebo; 06-08-2012 at 10:30 AM. |

There should be no problem running multiple clients from same IP (unless you have some kind of limitation on your router).
So, when your game crashes on Ubuntu son's client doesn’t crash? Did you experience some problems when you re logged in alone (log says your card is shader 4 capable but I d decrease to Shader 2 or Fixed pipeline even, for the sake of testing)? By the way which Ubuntu version? I dont use Ubuntu anymore but that driver version looks a bit outdated? Current one is 295.53 or 295.49 (to generalize 295.xx) afaik. You see to be missing some files, maybe would be good to do the following: - go to game directory and delete all sdb files (to download new fresh resources) - start the game go to Options (top left) and untick Download all at once (this option can be PITA, as it can even stuck you at loading screen first time you load resources) - log in to game server and wait until top left bar finishes all - restart game - also try then some other lower shaders (yeah quality of the game will be decreased) - tip for future: weapon trails tend to increase frequency of client crashing too

Thank you,
Something in that seemed to have helped, i am running the game without problem now and my character head now appears in the status bar also, which it did not before. |
