musa, i see you running around with offensive stance alot. that reduces damage redux DRASTICALLY. (on a normal mob, no off. stance the mob does 70ish. with off. stance, it does 230s)
so maybe that combined with lots of conju buffs or fulminating. back with the old skill system i went hunting with some friends and had a crazy setup. i could hit 2300 riposts on people almost every time (a lvl 50 knight, probably not. just saying.) also, distabilizing reduces your armor (at lvl 1, idk how much). OT: i have a pic of a 2800+ normal hit on daen rha!! if that had been a ripost, it would have been just over 4500 damage (about 4566 i believe). this was calculated using the damage. 2854*1.6=4566ish |

Quote:
On a side note the same barb (unbuffed I presume) got a successful MS for less then 600 3 min after. Destabilizing 1 reduces 40% armour.

I quote myself to add that it reduces block in 40... and yes, base at 50 is 25...

Offensive stance only makes you take about 200 more damage. While it's a huge amount against archers, it's almost nothing on a barb (or mages after the update, since armor hardly affects DOTs anymore). Simply put, neither Offensive stance nor Defensive stance have much effect against barbs, because even if you halve their damage with full protection buffs... they'll still do 400 normals, and 800 SC and possibly 1k Ripost.
And that's on a fully buffed Knight who can't use any offensive powers. This screenshot was probably mainly a combination of STR gear, Onslaught stacking and Fulminating. Onslaught alone can easily push the damage of my non-offensive characters (Knight, Marksman etc.) into the 1k range on players... so imagine Ons stacking on a barb. Someone had a picture of a 10K SouthCross on Vesper from Onslaught stacking before the update. After the update, STR accounts for over 50% of your attack and does not change with weapon speed anymore. This means that STR stacking (Colossus) etc, is more effective than damage items, and Fulminating multiplies all of this by a flat percentage, it is very powerful. The only way to survive barbs is and always has been Ao1, which seems to be how NGD wants it. EDIT: Critical hits completely ignore armor and protections (except the Resist damage and Resist ranged damage), so it wouldn't have mattered what amount of debuffs he had on him, as they would have no effect. They behave like Tear/Break apart and Magma blast. Regards.

ehm, off topic on such a thread nohan? >.< And about dmg, my biggest on knight was 1042 SC on a normal mob,144-200+10 med axe, 18-30 fire by BS rings, 8 dmg from ammu, off stance, lvl 5 wep buff, onsl 4 and bless wep 3, used taunt before, ill see if i can reproduce, to tired to be bothered with loggin in and making a screen and getting those buffs again.
