J-Pop Star (and 3-D Hologram) Hatsune Miku Sells Out Stadiums
This is pretty interesting.
Hatsune Miku has topped the pop charts in Japan, sold out stadium concerts and become a legitimate cultural phenomenon. The interesting thing is that Miku doesn't exist -- at least not in any traditional sense of the word. Miku is a computer-generated avatar that performs songs with the help of a live band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLg7ND-rhXE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dopx17w2Rcg |

I love how they're all waving their glowsticks in time. They just don't quite get it, do they? If your hand-waving light show doesn't look like a bunch of drunk fireflies chained to the ground having a lazy buzz around, you're doing it wrong.

There must be a lack of real women in Japan if they get all horny over a vocaloid holocrom.

I don't get it. I can watch cyber stuff on my own computer, why would I PAY to see one "singing" on a holo-screen? I can PAY the real band to see them perform, but a cyber pre-recorded program isn't PERFORMING. This blows, what world comes into.

Well you can also pay to have Hatsune and a bunch of other "Vocaloids" play on your computer.
As for the horny men, I'll warrant at least half that crowd is female. I don't think it's about horniness.

I wouldn't call this awesome and even a shitty star makes some kind of life achieving dream and passion and love and dreams to sing for people. This is like... You want to eat a sandwich but you get a drawing of a sandwich instead, not even a photo.
That's how it works, at least for me.
