Magnanite is an item, not a currency. Imo gold should be the main currency in regnum. Not just something you use for repairs on your gear.

Magnanite had great potential as a currency (capture magnanite mines, etc.) but it failed to live up to it. I prefer gold instead.

magnanite have at least some sort of value, as you can obtain some weps for high 40's.
with gold you can do a repair (artficially introduced mechanics to take some gold out of economy) and buy... um... merchant items, wich arent used that much.

its kinda the same as usa dollars - they have no real value, just people believing that they have. ever wondered, why irl some people store their extra money in gold? right, gold is actually used in industry, so it will have some value regadless how many green papers usa feels like printing. same with gold and magnanites in ro.

Well, as i suggested a long time ago, gold should be useable to buy the weakest type of each premium item. For example, those minor health and mana potions which were removed, and the basic and horrible lucky box. Many of these items are not worth real money, and no one ever buys them, so better to just offer them for gold and give it a purpose (for gold, many people would buy them no matter how bad they are...).

Add some new merchants in the cities which sell:
- Light horse rent for one week 250,000 gold
- Experience +50% scroll 100,000 gold
- Minor mana potion, minor health potion
- War banner 10,000 gold
- Duel banner 50,000 gold
- Single teleport scroll 10,000 gold
- Lucky box 100,000 gold
- Minor armor enhancement 150,000 gold
- Bronze suprise magic gem 500,000 gold

Like this, gold would become very valueable, and even somewhat rare.
