nop, it's true.
as AMD/ATI didn't release their source code their support in Linux is lame.
and many ATI video cards have problems in this specific game.
but safemode isn't bad at all I can tell you.

I was thinking of upgrading my computer:

EVGA nForce 680i SE SLI

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz

C'mon, drool... :P

I heard Regnum had problems with the 8800... I have a 8600GT and it runs fine though (a few crashes). GNU here.

I'm likewise, moved over from planeshift. Not a bad game, mind you, but it's slow-going dev-side. So, I'll be playing Regnum to tide me over between major changes in PS, heh. Both games have a ton of potential IMO. And not to be a bother or a spelling-nazi or anything, but shouldn't that read "Yliakum" in the thread title?

Planeshift isn't a bad game at all, but it isn't for everyone.
it is more about interaction between people and NPC's and playing in-character.
but it's not for me, I prefer the Regnum simple quest style.
and I just love leveling which Planeshift don't have.

vaylos, very true, and maxddark, it is very bad now yes, but they really need to work out their code if they want something going. Although the new features look cool.

Got about an hour till this download finishes. Which realm are you guys in? Oh Yeah....btw (S*^&T eating grin) I decided to stop in one last time at Yliakum. Killed Several Bounty Hunters then gave Calli a piece of my mind. A 'Final Farewell' I will always remember. Hehe. woot!!!
