I guess it's to encourage players from those countries to join the server of the country... imho it's not an elegant solution...

Those guys at least deserve a free character transfer..? Or is it only registration block?

Kitsune: I don't really know how things go on gs forums... But if it's announced like that, it can't just be entirely wrong information..? If so, i'm getting afraid of the merge...

Well of course right? You can't block players who are lvl 60, WM, have played RO for years and all of a sudden block their region? How can anyone even dare to do something like that, Tyr had the same. I remember a few players on Tyr who still had Tyr on their list together with Horus because their account was made before Tyr launched. I on the other hand couldn't enter Horus because of IP blocks.

No, but I can understand why. A month ago, a portion of Piranha's population switched to Raven because they heard about the huge amount of goodies that the GMs were offering there, from XP boosts to free mounts and WELCOME TO RAVEN messages in the imitation zone.
Most switched back once they realized it's all the same thing, just advertised differently.

I doubt they would block existing users IP's. This would be a very bad financial move on their part as alot of people in horus play and probably pay from those countries. And it would kinda ruin their reputation seeing as many lv 60 characters would be banned from playing ever again.

I am completely in agreement with this. People, remember that GS does not make the game, only publish the English version. They probably do not understand the difference between "new account block" and "IP block" and why the latter is much more severe... wait until Frosk replies to jump to conclusions.

Hi guys

Don't worry about being able to enter or not Haven if you're from a country like Portugal (take Daar as an example).

Every single one of the users that have been previously playing in Horus will be able to play all they want in Haven.

atm i can't see neither horus nor haven in the world list after logging in. I mean they are not in "off" state, they simply don't appear in the list. Is it normal?

They arent on yet, they are still in the middle of the fusion dance
