The point of realms is to make people re-level again when they get bored with or outclassed in the game, thus giving NGD more money.

Yep, make the money. its rather cheaper to just allow it than actually investing in building a more structured and complex way of improving your character past level 50.
They could have nipped this in the bud though when they raised the level cap. Had they separated levelling requirements from the start, they could have developed an open ended approach to allow players to gain improvements. What they did was apply a close ended approach so after level 60 (as expected) the game gets boring quickly. There is simply nothing left to do or achieve! My idea of giving you 3 slots and the ability to equip special spells that you would acquire by tasks and accolades would have encouraged players to seek more and thus, stay with their realm. In addition, had they given perks for players having more than one level 60 or indeed having up to 6 characters at a certain level and maintain them, you could see some loyalty. In addition, give players a reason to log a certain amount of hours on a character to gain special perks, be it to gain some special mount rental or some other non game affecting thing. There are numerous ways to encourage a player to stay with a particular realm. There are even more ways to mitigate ( I can think of at least 5 right now) it but I seriously doubt NGD will give deep consideration to what I am writing for at least 18 months anyway. That is the gestation period of any idea here, check and see. I know this is a troll thread , started by a player with questionable and possibly self serving intentions but I thought I should inject some sense into it. |

No more boss camping by non active characters . This can also be applied to level cap lock boss instances and offer multiple difficulty levels of said bosses. |
