I'm also experiencing performance issues, on both Haven and Ra. It's like the client gets a severe case of hiccups when I move to certain places. At first I suspected it was a problem on my side but I don't find any suspicious processes running in the background.

I have not tried the experimental client yet.

EDIT: I guess I overlooked, it is a problem on my side.

EDIT2: More details and fix to my problem here: http://blog.hansmelis.be/2007/06/17/...-media-player/
