No names and too dark

Heya, today I finaly managed to get my new computer running and installed Regnum. But... in maximum settings the game is way too dark, even by raising gamma I still can't see any-one in the shadows. And if I press V or select some-one, I can't see their names.

Can some-one please tell me how to fix this?

yea game is very dark after the graphics update, i use gamma at maximum

With gamma at the maximum I can see relatively decent close to me, but further away it's still grey/black, and still I can't see the names of any-one slected or with V. My driver software is up to date according to the update checker.

Edit: The problem is Ambient Occlusion, it makes everything darker.

I still have the problem of not seeing floating names, nor do I see the text of some-oen saying something above the character's head. This is really annoying and I can't play like this :/

Try to play around with your graphical settings a bit more.

I usually have "Ambient Occlusion" and "FXAA" unchecked, all others is on max and I have way more light..... I noticed that Ambient worsen your quality, I mean I have less FPS when I have that checked so better leave that too I'd suggest
Don't know why is your picture so damn dark tho.

Do you play under WIN7?
I do .

My specs are:
Intel Core I5-3570K
8 GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX-670
64 bit WIN7
60 GB SSD and 1,5 T HDD <3

Yep, I play under Win7. I managed to get rid of the darkness, and whatever I check or uncheck, my FPS stays at 75

The problem is names of players and mobs I don't see, tried re-installing but that didn't work, with my old (and crappy) computer I did see them... and I'm not going to switch computers again

Have you tried applying other video settings (low, medium, etc) to see if in any of them you can see other users' names?

Sorry for double-posting but:

I managed to locate the source of the problem, though not the solution. After re-installing for the third time Regnum started in 800x600. I clicked on a creature and I could see its name, when I chose 900x1440 the names disappeared again. Changing back to 800x600 did not help. Also changing the resolution in the Options before entering Haven didn't fix it.

What I'm going to try now is re-installing the game, choose the 900x1440 resolution before entering Haven and hope it works. Otherwise I'll have to play in 800x600...

Edit: I did what I stated I was going to do, I could see the names. When I tried to change the quality settings I lost them again. So it seems to happen not only when I change the resolution but whenever I change something in the viual appearance. Unfortunately I can't change graphics and such in the options screen before entering Haven anymore :/
