It's amazing to see how conjus love EB, I only have skilled it when I was grinding my 1st conju back then.... Noticed, it disappeared a few seconds right after you have used it .
For a fort war it's only waste of points imo
I'd only use steel skin, karma mirror, sanctuary and lvl3-4 self regen and heal.

There are countless situations where it is useful for example when steel skin is on cool down, a damage sink for dots when dispel is on cool down. Talking of dots, steel skin is not useful at all versus lock dots, and if you happen to be spammed with lightning and ice blast while your dispel or karma mirror is on cool down, you would take a lot of avoidable damage! Since it's duration is much longer than the cool down you can often find yourself in a situation where you can cast it right away after taking some damage under energy barrier. Energy barrier is a must for conjus IMO.

Conjus should always stay in the back when they have steel skin and / or karma mirror on CD, hence they do not need EB at all IMO .
On the other hand they have self heal and regen for the incoming dots you mentioned and when things get too dangerous I'm sure dispel will be available already unless another conju keeps an eye on ya and helps ya out... ^^

With my WM conju I need Eb like a hole in the head, I rather got some self defense by skilling some mentals, but you know, there's no accounting for taste, to each his own

Warlocks on the other hand, do need it, no question about that.
They are the outdated class of CoR as we all know .

w/o energy barrier you'll die from a marks before you notice it
not only does it give 1k 'hp' extra you also hear when you're being attacked

if you're a conj who doesnt use EB, no1 knows you're a conj/no1 notices you/no1 can select you
ive noticed EB isnt nessecary when you're outnumbering the opponent because they just cant attack you
otherwise.. you're pretty much screwed with 3.8k hp.. (or less)

Well, I like ya Winter so don't get me wrong but you should keep an eye on your log and your own hp bar as well while supporting your allies, once I see I'm being targeted by a marks I try to fall back and / or trying to look for some cover such as trees or rocks.

If I'm a conju without EB, everyone will know I'm one because my Mind blank is
on 24/7 ^^

But I'm saying it again for you too dear Winter, there's no accounting for taste, to each his own
I have EB skilled on my lock and only on him alone.

It depends how targeted you are...more popular conjus are under heavy fire more frequently. I usually alternate barrier - karma - barrier. If needed steel.
