New "teaching" clan in alsius

It was brought to the attention of some of the older clans that new players where being mass recruited into clans that well weren't helping them.

Older players have decided to make a clan to recruit noobs for the purpose of training them and then letting them pass onto different clans once they "graduate"

The clan includes people like matrim cauthon/gawyn, Monday and bidinger so far as teachers with more players to be asked about joining as "professors"

the primary goal is to teach people the ins and out and the basics of their classes to help them with a knowledge of when and when to to do things and basic pvp RvR skills that can be improved on

Players will be examined and tested

Basically its like hogwarts for RO

To join pm any of the professors

I dont know, Ive always thought of the game to be fun first
There are to many bugs/glitches and abusers to find fun by being good at a class
so Ive never tried to encourage that :s
doing something like tests, well you're gonna have one hell of a thing to figure out

I wish you the best of luck ofcourse, but Ill try to get a few newbies once in a while too..

I like the idea of this clan and I hope it goes well. What I noticed happening a lot is some of the older clans only recruit level 60s or experienced players or friends. Some of the newer clans end up mass recruiting every person who spawns at the start area of the game (OK not literally, but they may as well!).

I personally think that's what a clan should stand for, to teach people about the basics in the game, what not to do, what to do etc... As far as spell set ups go, I personally think people should experiment with various spells and see what works for them, but there are certain spells that really aren't worth putting points into or spells that aren't necessary to have at level 5 to compete well. This sort of information can only be useful to people who have just started, especially if you notice these spells in their set up (Useless spells include Athletic, Impale, Brain Piercing etc...).

I've been thinking of starting something similar in Ignis, if I can find some experienced people interested in helping. I did it before (in alsius/raven) and it was fun. Good luck with your efforts ^^
