No crowd or large body of people can be trusted to act humanely, or to think sanely under the influence of a great pride in themselves.
Kill the head, and the body cannot function. There doesnt need to be a leader in the group, but as with most people there are Dominant personalities, and the elimiation of those dominant personalities in the group will bring the downfall of said group. Such personality types dont necessarily need to be bad or negative leaning either, to cause the group to fall over. It can be done. And when all that fails, just kill all their Conjs. Alsius has a bunch of those. Cant hold anything if you cant get healed or buffed.

I love this game but lately don't play much anymore. The thing that kills it for me is there is no skill needed to do the major rvr functions or anything really in ro. Anyone who has played this game for some amount of time can easily notice something. The only reason invasions happen is when 1 realm outzergs another. Don't talk about tactics, don't say you play better, don't stroke your online ego, we all know it's just numbers and nothing more. This started to get to me, and ngd don't do anything about it. There is no skill needed in this game, that bothers me. It will always be numbers, and there is no point in having skilled players. Sure you can out do anyone one on one which is highly doubtful too because you will die anyways eventually due to a broken evade and resist system that should be totally abolished. But 4 against 10 which is what it usually is with invasions that kind of ratio and it's just meaningless. Especially now when Alsius dominates makes the game super boring for me, makes me just see how much really the game is based on numbers and nothing else. Can just stand and look pretty while 20 people wipe out 5. Whoever says 5 can take the 20 argument is on drugs or doesn't know how to count Or it's 5 lv 60's against 20 lv 5's.
Realms with less people fighting at a fort or gate should be compensated greatly with like 5k more hp per player and more attack power, anything. A dragon shouldn't help the invading realm, it should help the defending realm. Once you pop the relics in your castle the enemy gate should become vulnerable but their dragon comes to defend them from an already overwhelming force. Realms with huge populations in certain timezones should have their gates smashed to bits randomly to allow weaker realms to get in and make the overpopulated realm work, etc etc. I never feel like i accomplish something when i win something in ro. When i take a fort with alsius, it's usually 'a meh, we have 20 people they have 6 here experience, woohoo go us...' When i win a pvp and look through the log, meh i resisted 4 knocks or something, that's why i beat him so bad. Game fails to deliver skill as part of the big picture, and it fails badly. Block, resist and evade should be abilities that player can use once in awhile, not randomly generated.

Since resists seem to come in clusters in my experience with PvE on equal mobs, I tend to think there may be a problem with the generator. A couple of years ago I read where a new formula was developed to make random more random. If I was the Devs I would look into changing the generator's formula. |

Cooldown would be affected by block chance (and level perhaps). You wouldn't need to use PP to level it, but it levels with your character. Expel randomness! |

Then games should change to adapt to newer technology, we don't live in 1987 anymore where fighting like final fantasy 1 where the higher your dex is for example the more you will randomly evade a mobs or enemies attack. I agree that a bunch of buffs should be changed or they would become useless. Resists to knock buffs shouldn't be 50,60,80,90% like um atm. Um should be 100%. Resist cc's should be 100%. SOTW should be 100% resist for a time duration. Mind blank, defensive support, etc etc. When these kinds of buffs are not on, spells like kick, will domain, ambush, every attack spell like forecful blow, ensnaring, etc should never be resisted, and should work 100% of the time. Without buffs like this characters shouldn't have the chance to resist at all, then the rest of the fight would be skill driven. This would make players wins or losses completely dependant on their skill with the class and game. It's not QQing, it's just something that would make a better game, but it will never happen so iI don't know why I'm writing it anyways
Buffs for armor % bonuses and resists to damage types wouldn't be changes at all, or passive str, dex, int etc. Those would still have roles in damage outputs etc. But evade, resist and block should not be random in this day and age anymore. It should be up to the player to evade an attack or something, but with the current ro engine it's not possible. The only thing they'd be able to do is add a spell for example that lets an archer evade the next 2-3 hits with cd's of like 15 seconds and low mana costs and do the same for each class. Sometimes I resist everything an enemy throws at me, sometimes he resists all. This just shouldn't be a possibility in a good game.

Ulti, your 100% resist or 100% not resist means the guy with Dispell Magic not on CD wins every time. Zero skill involved.
^That is the Random Number Generator not being random enough. Getting a new RNG is easy and cheap. |

Why would he win each time? I just mean attack moves and cc's can't be resisted or will be resisted. Dispelling makes no difference. Only allies can dispell you from a knock anyways, that wouldn't change.
