Let me tell you a story of a man that was looking to buy a house. The man had narrowed his search down to two houses, both in good neighborhoods. He decided to talk to the neighbors and ask them about the person who lived in the house previously.
At the first house the neighbors were glad the person was moving out. "His kids were always running around making a racket," said one. "On Sundays he would hold a noisy party in his backyard after church," said another. "Every Saturday it was noise noise noise, always mowing the lawn, trimming his hedges and building things in his garage," said a third.
At the second house the neighbors were all saddened by their friend moving. "His kids gave life to the neighborhood," one said, "always laughing and playing." Another said, "He always had a Saturday afternoon BBQ and if anyone stopped by he was happy to invite them to the feast." A third said, "he always kept up his yard and house so well and spent every weekend working on it."
The next day the man returned to the Realtor and told him he had made his desicn. The Realtor asked him what it was that finally made up his mind and he responded, "The people in the second neighborhood were much nicer."
Your story is bad, and you should feel bad.

Question thank you

Greetings fellow ROs,

Thank you very much for such responses!!! quite helpful indeed.

I guess id have to try it out for myself if i have time.
I shall log on to my knight ( lvl 41 i beleive? ) but I guess i'd have to ask for a server change if he is in RA because English is my first language while Spanish is my fourth.

Any clans or individuals in haven ( or RA) that use skype, ventrilo or other communication methods? It would be nice to talk to some people to get a greater feel of this game.

Thanks once again for the responses, you guys rock! xox

krungle please.. dont turn into tigerious 2.0
we really dont need some1 who justifies everything we (goats) do
that just makes everything we try to do with good intetions seem bad too

if you dont understand what i mean.. take it from a player who played during syrtis OP times okay?

Im sure you mean well for alsius, but the thing is, in this game we've gone beyond
your own realm, because it was/is such a small game we are here as a whole community
not alsius, ignis and syrtis

if you want to make funny hate other realms than the one your in topics, do it in the inn
or during xmas events

anyway OT: everything was answered so thats good, if you dont like RA
there have been a few RA players who moved to haven and loved it
smaller server has its + points too i guess

Every realm should (and probably does) have their own players who make everyone facepalm. That way, NGD could introduce a new premium facepalm emote, and it would incentivice players to buy it and use it frequently to show their disdain for someone's words/actions.

I second this, I would also like to see an emote that allows us to do a small amount of damage to players of our own realm. Something like "kick in the nuts" etc.

Buahahaha. I definately need to make a search and read all Krugle's replies.

It is easy to look from one side where everything looks bright and shiny. I have been Syrtis in times when they was on top and i hated alot of things we as realm do. I see what Alsius do now and i can tell it is with raw power and numbers and definately not skill.

I saw what happens to realm when power arises and what people turn into. I have seen how alot people join because it is the winning side. I know how this people then are gone when wheel turns and what is left behind.

Be nice to others, because i remember how goats was, how ignis was and how syrtis are now.

If you played 8 years ago you'll probably find the game far different. Many of the players from that time quit because of the unwanted changes but you may like them, it's all relative to what you like in a game.

1 - Is the game still grind centric? -- definitely yes, if you had returned when raven was still up you would have had an easier time but since the merger it's back to the old horus grind.

2 - Is the game gear dependent? -- yes pretty much since the addition of legendary gear a non paying player has little chance against any player with legendary gear.

3 - Is the game pay to win? -- Short answer yes. see answer number 2.

4 - How is the community? -- About the same as it always was on horus, some nice people some know it alls and some jerks like in all mmo's.

5 - Which realm to join? -- That's a personal choice and there's no way anyone can answer that for you. We all have personal likes for some realms and dislikes for others, but the realm you choose should be the one you feel would benefit from you as a player. Right now alsius is over running the others but that is temporary, just as when syrtis did it before alsius and ignis before syrtis. Don't worry about the current situation because probably sooner than later it will change, so just choose which ever you like.

gear dependent.. a player with skills & bad gear vs a noob with the best gear around..
even bossgear which you should (legally) not able to get with real life money..

the skilled player will win 9/10 , the 10th fight is lost coz all his spells got resisted.. coz this is RO ^^

is the game pay to win? -- long answer no.
a paying player can turn out with worse gear than a non paying player
and that paying player will (usually) have a harder time obtaining it
well harder.. very expensive way that requires insane amount of luck

.. take me.. all my awesome gear comes from friends (who dropped) and friendly mobs
the 3 boxes i tried gave me crap stuff that made me rage a lot and well.. no moar boxes!

but all this was said before.. i just wanted to post something
(ow about the legendary gear.. Im the perfect example that that is nonesense in most cases..)
