No class in this game is as strong or as weak as some people exaggerate. I will use my own experience as an example.
When i started as a knight i used to think that barbs damage was insane and op That archers were unreachable but the class i hated the most was warlock (yup) for the mana stealing similar to an infinity dizzy. Then i lveled a barb and saw that the damage inst as high (because i made mistakes with my class), That they die pretty fast, and that they are easy to keep away (Even for a knight). That archers arent unreachable I mean how the hell i was supposed to reach them wihout using precise block to avoid some cc and this is again My fault. And finally warlock. I learned that if I combo then right with Offensive instance I have a fair chance to beat them. How i learned that?. Playing other classes and not only my main i saw how people using knight beated me and i learned from that. What i want to say is that you dont need to play warlock (your main i used knight as example because is my main) for 4 years to be good with it. You need to learn what other classes can do to you and prevent it and i know that this thread is about warlock in TDM but it evolved to "Warlock is bad and need a buff in every single aspect" thread what is just a lie |

I like wars. I play this game because of that. This is a war game not a hunting one. And no one in his sane mind can deny that locks are the easiest class to kill. I have all eight subclasses and alas i have been forced to leave my favourite subclass (lock) tired of being slaughtered the last years. I see many ppl starting a lock and leaving it very fast. Their comment is always the same 'locks sucks', 'locks dies too fast', etc 'i am going back to my conjurer, marks, bb, knight, whatever'. Why? because those are much better, they dont die in a sec. Nowadays you have to be a masochist to play a lock on a daily basis. Nevertheless I still hope NGD does something for the locks because their actual state is pathetic. Until then I am not playing it anymore. |

i am not in total disagreement with the original thread, but as has been mentioned in a later post, the scenarios brought forth are very situational.
theoretically stating the outcome of a fight will not suffice. the battle zone is a very peculiar environment to state the spectrum of usefulness of any given class. as a starter, it is a bounded arena lacking obstacles. secondly, we have a randomized variation of classes. hence the situational point of view. warlock, being a class highly dependent on its surrounding allies (as shown by the popular reply to this thread) will prosper differently based on the surrounding classes - both ally and foe. overall retaining more of a disadvantage over the other 5 classes. warlock being a support class does not cut it for me. we need more than simply dispelling our allies and ccing our enemies only to make a run for it. |

This game is not that hard or complex lol. What mag mage wrote earlier are all just basic fundamentals. You dont have to be a god.
If you are talking about a scenario with only locks on your team i see where youre coming from. It mostly depends on what combination of classes there is. The main problem of warlocks in tdm is that there cant be more than 1. While archers are always a great addition to a team, doesnt matter if you got 1, 2 or 3 archers they are always useful. Had a good read. Last edited by mind-trick; 10-17-2016 at 11:05 PM. |

I play Alsius and its funny to see posts about how lock is fine from Alsius players who use Alt+F4 instantly when they see warlock in their TDM team
