Daily Reward
It's a great addition which will, I'm sure be improved as time goes on.
The only issue is that players get it as soon as they log on. Why not make it obtainable after being online for 30 mins to an hour. Would encourage people to stay online, instead of logging on and off within a minute.

We don't want to encourage fort camping and farming the weaker again, do we? ^^
I agree that giving a reward right after you've logged in is dumb, you should do something for it! Enemies aren't there all time to complete the task of killing them, mobs, treasures, rocks are. Try to use what you have. Killing normal mobs would be too boring, but we already have leader mobs, lower their HP and add even new ones / upgrade already existing normal mobs to leaders, suitable for players lv starting from lv30 right until lv60. Imo it's more than enough to enable only a few ones for each 5 lv, so lv 30-35-40-45 etc., you can make them challenging too so you may need one or two ally (or enemy > hint*hint*> open field fight > whining for allies in realm chat for help > generating fort wars > more invasion ) as well to take them down. Give tasks for killing 10-15 of them, you can use the realm task table for it, you also could add some collecting tasks for those who would choose something else than fighting, like : find 10 treasures / rock / mag, or collect some crafting material suitable for your lv, that way you could even improve your power sources, so I'd find it useful as well Just a few ideas. PS: giving gold as a log-in reward isn't really tempting, since gold has not that much of a use yet, still. Maybe it'll change in the future. |

why complain it should be this or should be that.
why not just accept it for what it is and get on with playing.making the player perform certain actions or a time frame,is just a stupid idea no offence intended. its a bonus plain and simple.a reward for playing the game. you guys make it sound like its a quest,its not.

Right Ichy, it IS about keeping players online, "log in and get the useless reward" won't lead to anywhere, logged in players needs tasks, something to do when no one or not many on, if more and more stays logged in, the higher the chance that something will happen (TDM will work properly, fort wars and invasions will occur, raids will be made, etc.), that would be the main goal of it, nothing else.
Then again, we are there at the solo missions I mentioned already, log in rewards should be connected to them, you will feel it was useful to log in, you have done something useful, you got more mags, more materials for crafting /whatever, you DID something, and "Hey! I got a reward for doing all of this? Yes, that's right, you did"...If you could collect 10 mags, the meaning of the log in reward becomes less valued, doesn't really matter what you've got, you've got something over it, something extra. At the current rate, everyone could just log in, click on the "get the reward" then just log off, what's the point of all of this?! Makes not much sense for me ^^ |

The reward is to get people to enter the game. If there is something worth staying for, they will.
If we make it require fulfilling anything, people will not even log in knowing they will have to do that. I ask you, BEG you, PLEASE, do not say something is stupid if you don't know the reason why it has been done.

Would be nice to see Daily Reward progress placed somewhere in GUI... for example additional button in Achievements window.
Also since rewards are based on account age there should be information about account creation (not forum account) on CoR website or through new chat command

@Adrian
If this community was a spouse, I'd have filed for divorce long ago! Either that or signed up with battered spouses services. Poor, poor NGD. |
