lol so it is, carried away by my own so called 'cleverness'! However, I still think a combo including all classes would be more effective!

and since we can all vanish and move... we can cause serious damage that others can only dream of.... 8 hunter = 9000 damage in 3 seconds |

Ok, since speaking to you earlier I'v had a serious re-think and its unavoidable, I am going to have to rather ungraciously eat my words (especially bearing in mind my inability to count to 8! ). I think there were a couple of things I had failed to consider.
Firstly, for the party I described to overcome yours the tactics they would require would be complex, the organisation and awareness would have to be pinpoint, comparatively, although still requiring organisation, less can go wrong from the point of view of the hunters, therefore you would be more likely to succeed. Secondly I had assumed in the scenario above that both party would be fully aware of the other and its tactics. For them to succeed they would need to know exactly what was coming to prepare adequately, you on the contrary would need to know only that they were there and to attack. Again, if we move the scenario to a fort war all ability to prepare goes out the window for the opposition as they would have other things on their mind. Again the advantage would be with the hunters. I still hold that potentially a party of 8 combining all classes could win, however the probabilities do seem to be against them. Now that you have the theory, and the party, I look forward to the final proof demon, make it work and leave us in no doubt!

any group of mixed classes has the advantage over any group of the same class (if played right)

a hunter-only group can appear - kill - disappear other classes would be an encumbrance. But its a problem to organize such a team and have them online at the same time, thats why i see it practically impossible |

The best hunting team is in my opinion still a barb and a hunter. Speed, tracking, huge dmg, range, dizzy spells, small, etc.

the key to having the group work is to have more than 8 hunters in the group.... I have been training many ignis hunters in the methods that I use, and in the timing of targets... another key element to the group is team speak... it works wonders.... we also have skill signs... for example... turning on meditation can mean prepare for an attack, while another spell could mean regroup at a certain position.... No matter what we go out with a set of codes, and we each have our own lethal mini plot in the whole of the play. |
