Default Help with choosing a weapon

I was wondering if anyone could help tell me which weapon for a barbarian would be the best for the warzone. I am using a spear right now for ripost... but I am level 33 now and I was wondering if any other weapons would be better with better skills.
Thanks

The only thing i can suggest is keep to spear, im a warlock and a barb with one of those always tears me a new butt cheek. If they use other weapon types i can usually survive a bit longer

spears are what most barbs are carrying you will see some with slashing for southcross and a very few with blunt for mind squash

Stick with spears. A lvl 50 barb with lvl 5 ripost and lvl 5 balestra is very annoying to fight.

stick with spears because it has the best stopping spell and the 2nd best damage spell for warriors...if you have points you could also put slash to lvl11 to get south cross...you will kill alot

hehe, sorry this post isn't soo , well, not at all, relevant, just saw the word "balesrta" and actully know what it means. sigh.. miss college Fencing.

---
question that is relevant:
the first learned skill in each weapon class, I find that isn't all that usfull even fully upgraded now that I am 30.. I found I stopped using it even at lv ~10. Yet I see other ppl still using it while killing.. Am I missing some thing about the usfullness of the first skill?

Instant 100% weapon damage (without waiting for the "next" normal hit)

Mhh yes before, but now you cannot piggyback attacks with Warriors as far as I know, so it became useless since the attack doesn't go faster than the next normal hit .

Or at least it looks that way, maybe it's simply lag and using a Slow weapon I don't notice any difference .

Maybe you can test and tell me if it still works for you.

And with the switching weapons bug it's a pain to switch to fast to cast non-damaging spells faster.

It works, try it with a very slow weapon, the difference is easier to see in this case
