Effective use of XP boosters?

And Hunters are not. In fact, I would consider them to be the second-worst class to level.

Conjuror >> Warlock >> Barbarian >> Marksman >> Hunter >> Knight
(Barbarian isn't easier than Warlock unless you have a Conjuror, because they rest every few mobs.)

Slow? ...

In my opinion, it is incredibly fast. I can get about one level per day on any class in mid-to-high 40s.
Without boosters, it takes me about a week to do one level even with a Conjuror helping me.

That probably doesn't make sense, I know it's only 200% faster, but still it is true. I think it is primarily because even though you only level twice as fast, you only rest half as often as well.

Non-stop does not mean fast. They still take quite a while to kill the mob compared to Warlocks and Barbarians.
Actually, I find this to be the exact reason why archers require more scrolls to level.

Archers take especially long if you're trying not to take damage and/or save mana to avoid resting.
