89 dex, +6 evade chance from rings. Sorry i should have mentioned that (?)
So 64 evade chance without rings. I tried resetting, I can get 72 base evade, with those rings + lvl 5 passives. Not bad at lvl 41.
Next lvl I have +4 dex leggings on top of what i get for lvling. I can have 93 base dex with different rings, but it means less evade chance.

Where did I used bugs to kill you ? At least your message can lead people to think that. In case you didn't notice, this thread was a joke to mock people like AwD crying about evasion from archer.

ok, the title is "The damn truth about evasiion". Here it is:

from the another thread
(which participation was quite low :/) I got the following information:

base evasion lvl 50 marksman: 61
base evasion lvl 50 conju: 58
base evasion lvl 50 barb: 57

When you set an average hit rate of 320 for lvl 50 characters you get base evade chance as follows:

marksman: 19,06%
conju: 18,13
barb: 17,81


You can see that it is not the base evasion which makes archers evading that much more than other classes do. Since mages have higher INT they have higher spell resist rate which may compensate the lower evasion rate. But spell focus and resist chance are not shown in character window, so we cannot draw any conclusions about this. It's just a guess.

Every class can wear evasion boosting quest items (droped items I don't take into consideration)
Syrtis and Alsius +5, ignis +6 evasion

Archers can boost evasion with dex passive. On lvl 5 it gives +15 dex which resuslts in +3 evasion.
wariors can boost dex too, at a max of 20 (makes +4 evasion)

Archers can boost evasion with cat reflexes for 15%.

So we get as a max evasion for the different classes (in brackets are the values for ignis):
marksman: (61+5 (6) +3)*1,15=79,35 (80,5)
conju: 58+5 (6)=63 (64)
barb 57+5 (6) +4=66 (67)


This results in a max evasion rate of:
marksman: 24,8% (25,16%)
conju: 19,69% (20%)
barb: 20,63 (20,94%)



We see that at max the archer has only about 5% higher evade rate than other classes.
There are a few archers that seem to evade far more than 25%. This is due to the fact that they wear dex boosting items and that they use dodge extensively.
An archer under dodge will have an evade chance of about 44% (at hit chance 320). When the archer has dodge + spell elude the chance to get hit by a spell is about 38% without taking in consideration natural resist layer.

When you add natural resist layer (which can be boosted by int passive and +INT items, too) and when you add +dex items you will resist/evade about 2/3 of all spells on you and almost 1/2 of all base attacks.

What do we see? The problem are spells like dodge and spell elude...it is not the base evade layer.


That all are just some thoughts of mine, i dunno if I made the math right and if the formulas are all right. But from my knowledge this is how it works.

I won't check your computation but yeah everyone can have good evasion. The problem is that it's too high. And this is not good for mages that don't have very good base attack (without SM setup).

The Lightning Arrow seems like a bad choice for a 1v1 fight

Or was she trying to run away?

I was hight in mana but low in hp with Serpent Bite, Ethereal Arrow and Lethal Strike in cool down and still confused.
