Well i think there is a giant gap between "industrial artist" and "artist".

Its impressive how the "artist" who complain so much about the p2p are the ones who arent worth of buying their cds or going to their concerts.

I really cant think about all people who does music doing it to earn money, of course there is a lot of them, but i know a lot who do it because they really love music, at least here in spain.

These 'artists' you talk of tap into the concerns of humanity, make themselves the voice of these concerns, and make millions for their 'efforts'.

There is a world of difference in saying you are concerned about something, and actually living in such a way that you make a difference.

I'm not saying that what they preach isn't true.

I'm just not convinced that these people are apt to preach...

Tell me oh wise makarios, do you know much of ozzy and black sabbath?

Do you know why ozzy is called the godfather of metal?

If you knew anything about black sabbath you would understand that it was only their passion as artists that kept them going...

When I say this, know this is true: Ozzy cares not about money...

And to prove this just compare "The Meet the Osbournes" show to Gene Simmons "Family Jewels" show...

After you have you will see the real truth...


Also another thing you have to understand is the dates of the songs that I post here...

The vast majority of them are from the 60's 70's and 80's, where people were still in it for the art and not the greenbacks...

Also of current titles that I use, most of them come from artists that are not mainstream...

So the pull for them to get rich is dampened by the reality that most people don't care for their music...

For one thing, most of the artists that I post here don't tap into the concerns of normal people because most of them have been marginalized by society...

That is what makes their lyrics so profound, and also why I call them social prophets...

Note that social prophets are different from religious prophets, because they get their insights from how society treats them...

And from this they learn the holes that exist in social construction and social rules...

And the ability for them to see this makes them so very different from people who are embedded into their culture, because they cannot see these holes...

Hence, the social prophet...

But it's much bigger then that, for those that are marginalized and see these holes have had the scales removed from their eyes and can see holes in other areas of their society; the politics, the economy, sex relations and so on...

For as I have stated time and time again...
It's perspective, is it not?
And you know what?
Reality is dependent on 9/10 of one's perception!
