Regnum in Ubuntu crashes to desktop.

I have a Toshiba laptop using the Intel x3100 graphics adapter. I open the game and login. I then choose the default world and select enter world. A cinematic plays which I can close out of but when the movie finishes I get dumped back to desktop every time...what gives?

run it from a terminal and see if there is any output when it crashes.

also, check to crash.log for anything informative.
