I would like to say that yes, I did find meaning in the songs that you posted... And yes I did appreciate them... Though you should know that Nirvana and Linkin Park are among my favorite bands...

However, of the songs that you posted the song from Fort Minor really seemed to touch me the most...

It speaks to me of an individual who struggles in life, but is looked up to by some(one)...

And yet this individual felt that their struggles would hurt those that they loved (a child who looks up to a father, a wife who looks up to her husband or a brother, sister who looks up to their older sibling) and thus needed to "separate" themselves from this loved one...

"That's why I slipped out the back before you knew I was there I know you felt unprepared... I'm not a hero but don't think I didn't care..."

This song speaks loud of the sacrifices life makes us choose...
How those choices, we make, weigh heavy on our minds...
How those choices can be perceived by others, as a choice that we did not care for those that loved us...

It's funny how humans flock to a feeling of commonality, is it not?
